A World Bank technical support mission concluded successfully
(February 9-11, 2026). A World Bank technical support mission of the “Smart Government 2” project, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development Innovation and Communications (MDDIC) concluded successfully. The mission team met with key beneficiaries (NDC and GASR) to review the on-sites project`s implementation progress and discussed forthcoming activities.
- The National Data Center (NDC) is the primary institution responsible for the storage, security, and processing of Mongolia’s national digital information. The measures implemented under the project play pivotal role in establishing a robust foundation for the advancement of digital public services which contribute substantially to reducing operational expenditure across government institutions while enhancing the overall quality, accessibility, and efficiency of public services delivered to citizens and businesses.
- The sub-projects under the Smart Government II project being implemented at the General Authority for State Registration (GASR) are significant in ensuring the effective, transparent, and accessible delivery of public services through the optimal use of information technology advancements, as well as in security of digital information and confidentiality.
- In addition, the representatives visited the Information Technology Park (IT Park) to exchange proposals for collaboration on conducting a pilot program that will deliver online gig jobs for youth and women.
